Abstract
This study aims to describe and analyze the leadership style of the school principal in improving teacher job satisfaction at MTs Ma’arif, Pemahan District. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with field research type. The research subjects are the Principal and teachers, selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity is maintained through source and method triangulation techniques. The research results indicate that the principal applies a democratic leadership style characterized by teacher involvement in decision-making, effective communication, provision of motivation, and exemplary behavior. Teacher involvement in school deliberations strengthens a sense of ownership and increases loyalty to the institution. Open communication creates a harmonious work climate and prevents internal conflicts. The motivation provided by the principal, whether in the form of emotional support or opportunities to innovate, encourages teachers to be more enthusiastic in carrying out their duties. The principal's exemplary behavior in discipline and responsibility serves as a concrete example that reinforces teacher professionalism. Teacher job satisfaction is reflected in a conducive work environment, appreciation and support, harmonious relationships among teachers, and attention to welfare despite financial limitations.
