Abstract
Tulehu Village, located in Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency, is widely known as a “football village” due to its strong traditions and the community’s expertise in sports, particularly football. However, the area faces a shortage of adequate open spaces to support public sports and recreational activities. This study aims to analyze the feasibility and land suitability for the planning of a sport center in Tulehu Village as an effort to improve human resource quality through the development of integrated sports facilities. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a land suitability analysis based on three main parameters: slope, soil type, and rainfall. The findings indicate that the most suitable location is in Rupahitu Hamlet, Tulehu Village, on a vacant land area of approximately 4 hectares. The land falls under slope class I (0–8%), categorized as flat, has a kambisol soil type with moderate sensitivity, and receives low rainfall ranging from 8 to 14 mm. This study is limited by the lack of supporting data and planning documents from local government, as well as the scarcity of previous research addressing similar topics in the area.
